Hell or High Water

Texas set drama charting the course of two brothers who commit a series of bank robberies in order to redeem their heavily mortgaged family farm from a rapacious bank intent on its seizure. Starring Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine, the film is gritty and convincing if perhaps a little slow. Bridges is first rate as a grizzled Texas Ranger on his last case and Pine shapes up well also, but perhaps the star turn is given by Ben Foster who plays Pine's psycopathic brother, who is weirdly endearing as well as palpably nuts.
Made in the Lone Star mould this film deserved its place in the Oscar nomination list for best film and is well worth a watch when it appears on cable or Netflix - give it a whirl.

Saw it. I give it B+ for acting. Otherwise it's basically back-to-back episodes of Breaking Bad.

Haven't seen Breaking Bad WF, but I hear good reports of it. It's available on Netflix or Amazon I believe - do you recommend a viewing?

Yes, but season 1 is slow, stick with it. There's a thread in KW somewhere, you can get other opinions.
