Futurama: How could we let this show get cancelled?

I am a huge fan of Futurama. I loved it from the very beginning. Unlike the Simpsons, futurama hit the ground running with great animation and fully developed voice characterizations that I found genuinely entertaining and laugh out loud funny. What happened? What did I do wrong? Did I not watch enough? How could we let such a fantastic program get cancelled? Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Well, they officially cancelled futurama about a year ago. They had so many unaired episodes (they scheduled it at 7pm during NFL football season. Of course it got bumped every time a game went long.) that they were able to continue with new episodes for some time. Now futurama is only being shown on the Cartoon network. I was given Season 2 for christmas this year. What a great gift! I need to buy all of the rest asap.

That's a shame... I quite liked it... A lot of people who didn't watch it would have liked it. I just don't think it got fully of the ground... Unlike the simpsons...

There is a sliver of hope. After Family Guy got cancelled, it was sold into syndication to the Cartoon Network. Its been so successful there that there are rumors they are bringing it back. Maybe futurama has a chance.

Futurama was a good show. Pity it's only on late at night. No wonder it's being cancelled.

I liked an episode where we find out that that fishy doctor has a choice between having sex or dying... I myself couldn't live in that way...
