Kevin's Watch

I was stunned to learn that our old cat, Patches, is alive. She showed up inside a compound not far from ours and has been being taken care of by a woman there for the past few weeks. Yayyyyyy!!! The poor old thing, if she could only tell her stories. When I searched for her, I was on the wrong side of a small mountain that stands between where she ended up and our house. I was sent a picture and it is definitely her, and she looks okay. Considering she is at least 18 years old, this is a miracle. I can't stop tearing up every time I think about it.

Since we'll be in the US till January, the woman who has been caring for her agreed to keep her. She really loves cats so I am very grateful.

Miracles really happen, people.

I actually took this the day she disappeared. She went missing at the beginning of March, and we had kind of given up on her.

That's awesome. My kittehs don't go outside, but I still worry about what would happen if one of them got out. I think the not knowing would be the worst. It's important to have closure - and rare that that closure has a happy ending, but it looks like Patches landed on her feet.
