Finished S1. Definitely some good things going on.
Spoiler
Honestly, the whole multiverse thing annoys me. if everything in two realities, goes so exactly the same throughout history to bring about the exact same people in both, they couldn’t possibly be so very different people and, obviously, things didn’t go exactly the same in both universities, since people were in different places, fighting different wars, etc. Don’t tell me the same to people had sex at exactly the same time, and exactly the same sperm and egg in that, etc. etc. They’re still fun stories, but no way.

I love the spore drive. I, suppose we'll find out why it isn't being used in all the latter shows.
What's with their new captain in S2?

Some good points Fist. Sometimes for me to enjoy a show I have to always arrive with my "I believe" pin, intact.

Episodes 13 and 14 (Such Sweet Sorrow pt 1 and 2) should be watched in as full a movie experience as you can muster. I watched it downstairs in the "man cave" where the larger, and newer higher resolution TV is, and is complete with a sound system. Turned off all the lights and it was like being at the movies. You wont regret doing so. Some of the best trek goes into those last two episodes.

Holy cow! Really extreme! Wow! The big battle was way to much for me to follow actually, and I have a pretty big, good tv. Just SO much! Crazy good story! Need to watch the season again.

I think I'll rewatch the season before going on, or watching S2 of SNW. Pretty incredible plot!

Just finished my rewatch of S2. So very 😎

I would have finally gone on to S3, but it got too late. Thunderstorms all day, and I lost power about a half hour before the end. Power came back on, I finished, and tried to start watching S3E1. But I really have to go to bed. Alarm goes off in six hours.

I may rewatch seasons 3 and 4. Season 2 was so friggin good I had built up expectations that were not realistic. Oh 3 and 4 were entertaining, I just thought they would be better. But maybe on a rewatch I will find it better.

I just rewatched Enterprise... I used to be blech about it but on rewatch I was all in. I loved it. An under-rated ST series.

I was never a fan of Enterprise. (Though I may be the only fan of the theme song. Love it.). Generally not a fan of time travel stories. Voyager had a two-parter that ended with everything being reset. Lame. Enterprise seemed to be nothing but.

So you watched through Season 4? What did you think overall?

Season 5 should be out before long. Its the last one for Discovery so I hope they go out with a bang.

I enjoyed it at the time. And there are some very good aspects. But on reflection, there are serious issues.
Spoiler
The whole idea of the Galactic Barrier was pretty stupid. But that was loooooong ago. Gene couldn't have imagined the success of the whole thing, and, therefore, the need to deal with it down the road.

But it happened. Gary Mitchell was a excellent story, even if the reason for him was stupid. So CERTAINLY there should have been some psionic issues! At least discussion! How's is that not mentioned when they're flying into it?? (Or did I miss a conversation?)

Ten C was pretty cool. Always nice when writers try to come up with truly alien forms of consciousness or communication. This was pretty good. Even more alien would be good, and expected. But there's a point where it's so alien that we can't communicate with it, or even recognize it exists. Given the amount of time they had to tell the story, this was an entirely acceptable scenario. Nice how they sent the code so we code understand. AAA B A, etc. Reminds me of Sagan's Contact.

Not sure how I feel about the fact that they had no idea they were wiping out sentient beings. Sure, they're so different from the sentient beings they were wiping out that they wouldn't recognize an individual is sentient. But didn't they see the starships flying around??? Didn't they see strange energies that aren't naturally occurring, and check it out first? How do you not realize that's the result of sentience? And had they never recognized another sentient species before? If you knew you were not there only sentience in existence, wouldn't you want to be careful before wiping out solar systems?

Book should be doing hard labor. Fucking ridiculous what he did. Glad there other guy is dead.

I really like Michael, though. Liking her more with each season. Great character. Saru getting himself a Vulcan babe is great! :D
Gotta go for now.
