Everything about the last episode, including Bortus' moustace, was gold.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.โ€

I liked that there was no outside threat of any sort in this epiaode. It was all relationship and story based.

Seriously? I've found the last 2 episodes a bit disappointing...felt like a down-turn in the series.

I want more. Why wasn't it on this week?

Oh....I just looked it up. Looks like it is on tonight. Okay, yay! Which means I can watch it tomorrow at some point on Hulu!
With that said, I'm a little surprised at the topic of porn addiction, but then again, it is Seth McFarlane and so...yeah...I guess it doesn't.

Wow...that two parter was amazing. I mean, it was predictable, but it was amazing. I never would have guessed that they'd go so damn big so early on. Are they hurting for ratings? Is that why they made such an epic lunge with big ramifications for the rest of the series?
I don't pay much attention to effects these days, but they were stunning in especially the second part. What a great bit of fun the last half of that episode was, and yet scary.
Again, I have to say, I am still constantly surprised by this show. I never would have guessed it would have held my interest this long.

Seth McFarland was the writer of part 2, wasn't he? I think two other writers wrote part 1, but I think I saw credit go to McFarland at the start of part 2.

I actually kind of liked the Krill in this episode. Fundamentalists can be scary, but they showed they just may be reasoned with.

Certainly the highlight of this season, which overall I've felt was weaker than the first.

I dunno. I think season 1 had some serious weak spots, especially the first pile of episodes. I remember really wanting the two leads of the ship to stop bickering. Thankfully, that has almost faded completely. A few of the stories haven't been entirely strong, and we've had a few people drop out (I'm not particularly digging the new security officer), but there is definitely good stuff in most episodes. I think overall this season is pushing my pleasure buttons.

The two parter was really strong. This really felt like STNG in almost every way. The first few episodes of this season were a bit weak to me.

Mostly agreed. (Also about the new security officer Cag.)

Still watching though, so can't be that bad. :D
