I'll never forgive you for glossing over the second "o" in "Boromir".

Like I intentionally spelt Boromir wrong duh?
Tis a thing a LOTRs fan would not do intentionally .. and yeah still upset about the burial bier thing ..

Oh, I'd already forgotten about that.
I make it a rule to (almost) never point out spelling or grammar errors (unless it's funny). Everybody makes mistakes.

So you still won't take the hint and give PJ the same slack that you ask for yourself ...

Nope .. cos the difference is that HE did what HE did intentionally
Look dont get me wrong .. I love the movies and Jackson did an awesome job cinematising LOTRs .. totally. And the casting top notch .. love Blanchett's Galadriel .. like who woundnt .. even Blooms Legolas, etc etc .. but this was one scene .. but one powerful scene .. with powerful imagery and it was no mistake that Tolkien invested in that imagery. It was punch you in the gut moving .. and the scene was cut.
The rest of the movie series beyond brilliant .. and Im not a purist just an average LOTRs lover .. and that broke my heart ..
a little ..

I think Jackson would have made a 27 hour movie and included everything if he could have. So I don't blame him for stuff he had to leave out. It may have been "intentional" but it wasn't by choice.
Which ... as he pulls mightily on that cable labelled "OT" ... is not going to be so much an issue for a series, for which I am excited.

Im excited too Wayfriend
sounds like and hopefully will be awesome.
Id be ok with a 27hr movie
My criticisms wouldnt have added more than a few seconds to the overall time of the movie
I know Im like a dog with a bone with this one. The scene was just sooo powerful in the reading .. and was a key progression in the story for me.
But thank goodness I dont get to make those decisions huh? hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Ok Ill let it go now
Roll on the telly series I say

The fandom just experienced a collective geekgasm as Amazon tweeted a map of Middle Earth ... On 3.7.19 (the 3, the 7, the 9, and the 1, get it?) ... With the isle of ....
Numenor.
Everyone is speculating heavily.
The Fall of Nemenor.
