Possible Erikson Podcast

Might be developing an Erikson podcast given his desire to reach out directly to his fans, wherever they might be. We're starting with one and seeing how it might move forward organically, given that even just crowdsourcing ideas on his official author page gives the impression he'd have topics to speak on for years.

As per the post on his official author page and the linked post from Malazan Empire forum, what would you like to Erikson orate about?!

Cheers.

Hope it goes well. No specific suggestions from me, I don't do pod-casts. If you were to make a transcript and link to it from here though, would definitely check it out. :D

We'll see. There's been pretty healthy response to the idea - if it's worth it, I'll work to transcribe it.

I do think Fantasy/genre authors podcasting themselves is an untapped medium.

Followed up on that "pilot episode" of a Malazan podcast with Erikson/Esslemont. Notes link.

I'm not sure, to be honest.

We talked a little bit during and before and after recording regarding his Facebook comments about the third Kharkanas. I believe it's shelved until at least after the next Willful Child and the first of Karsa Orlong's forthcoming trilogy.

Wow, that long?

On the plus side, glad to hear the Karsa trilogy is happening, shall be looking forward to that.

To be honest, I sorta find the Kharkanas books to be a bit heavy going.
