Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /phpBB2/posting.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

?????
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

I've had problems like that... very frustrating.
it may be something similar to this: the '406 not acceptable thread'
I started running posts that had a problem like that through this site to remove non-ASCII characters:
utils.paranoiaworks.org/diacriticsremover/ (link courtesy of Wosbald, I think.)

oh! when I tried to post something with the word "c-o-a-l-e-s-c-e" it gave me a similar error. (?)

That's cool!

That word is still unusable. How long did it take you to figure out which word was the problem? I hope it was in a Mallory's post as opposed to something lengthy.

So annoying when it does it on random words.

What I find works in those circumstances is to quote the previous post, and submit it.

Then edit it, remove everything in it, and paste in my own reply.

Oh yes, yes it was. (so... not too long. Ermm, on second thought, it was the "Katniss Everdeen: Terminator-Hunter" on the Bad Writing thread.)

Avatar- I never tried that one.

aTOMiC- hmmm, yeah, even though I love tutoring while I'm doing it, I've been known to go "yay - I don't have to go anywhere!" when one cancels.
The relentless march of time is a thing I have been known to dread.

My last week was crazy.. I had a much-hated cleaning task to do Tuesday, Wednesday, and ...still on Thursday morning.

I grouched myself up good for Thanksgiving. (oops!)
But there were other good surprises... my Chinese church had a Thanksgiving party, and we were in town this year.
I got to see some parents of kids I teach in Sunday school.
(the kids are always over at each-others' houses, and usually one mom will bring 2 or 3 families'-worth of kids on Sundays. kid swarm!)

Easy, 4 days is nothing. I can take a full week off, for a total of 9 days including weekends, and still feel like I'm back at work too soon.

In fact, there is no amount of time off that is ever sufficient. :D

I have 8 working days left before I go on holiday, from the 9th Dec to the 2nd Jan. And even that won't be enough.

Oh, I went to an auction and bought myself a Christmas present on the weekend. :D

A set of 3 assegais that include a proper Zulu iklwa, the heavy, long bladed stabbing spear that Shaka kaSenzangakhona used to revolutionise regional warfare during the foundation of the Zulu empire.

I paid a bit more than I had planned, and I actually only wanted that one, but had to get all three, but still very pleased. :D

I don't go to work  I do, however, choose to spend the best part of three days a week at the local archives office doing all sorts of interesting things.

The small group of singers I accompany seems to be thinking of folding. A shame, we have had some great concerts. Our last will probably be the after dinner Christmas concert for the local WI. I have stupidly offered to play a short solo - probably my last in public. Now I have to go practice. :(
