about a year or so I get to retire. til then, work sucks. the newest recruits suck.

saw a stage production of the Sound of Music. I waited for 3 quarters of the play
for a Spoonful of Sugar before I realized that was from Mary Poppins.

Well damn, it's snowing here in JHB. :D Only the second time I've personally seen snow in my own country, and the first time I've actually seen it falling here.

Crazy. :D

LOL, probably, although it has happened before. (Worst name for a general phenomenon ever.)

How Do You Feel Today? v4

Post by Khaliban »

It all came to nothing, and I'm back to feeling like I've been drop kicked by the universe. I found two pictures of her online today. She's smiling in them. I love her smile. I'm trying to move on. I really am. Then, I have days like this. My doctor had me do a test to find out which antidepressant has the best chance of working on me. I won't have the results for three weeks. Then, it's another two months before I see any effects.

You know that feeling when you hear your best friend died crashing into a tree because he swerved to avoid your puppy? Then, your mother, in another car, swerved to avoid your friend's car, ran over your puppy anyway, and went off a cliff?

I wish I felt that good.

Despite their reputed fecundity, the bunnies only appear monthly.

It isn't too many rabbits. More Posts Are Needed.

This forum is a broad topic...and its mods are currently all absentees (although KW mods are frequent posters here).

I'm here now!

My family... bought a house. After decades of apartment-living, hearing my OWN washer and dryer "ticking away" downstairs is such a sweet, sweet sound.
I'm enjoying the adventure of setting things up around here.

Oh--the previous owner gave us--err, planted a FLOWER GARDEN! Butterfly garden around the house, wildflower garden among gravel/pebbles in a thin strip of lot behind the garage. Tis amazing.
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

Well fudge…
To quote the Stones,
“What a drag it is
Getting old”
I’ve been doing a daily Amsler grid test due to dry aging macular degeneration for about five years now. I’ve always had the central dot fading out, so that’s considered my base. But today the adjacent line next to the dot is curved, so off I go to the ophthalmologist on an emergency basis.
Wish me well, please.
