I love all of the influences shown in these books. You have Arthurian legends with Mhoram and Loric's sword, you have Berek Halfhand in tribute to Tolkein's Beren One Hand. You even have Elena, who is a princess in a famous Russian myth. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch, too! And I wonder if Martin's Lord Berick (spelling?) Dondarrian is a tribute to Donaldson's Lord Beric in A Song of Ice and Fire?

DoM there are definate tributes to Donaldson hiding in Martin's books--I particularly like the one he read 2 us at BuboniCon from the prologue of his current work in progress, A Feast For Crows: "the Citadel was so huge it resembled a Giant's Droemond come to ground along a very rocky shoreline." (Martin: Beric, SRD: Berek)

Another one...
Tolkien:Beren Halfhand / SRD:Berek Halfhand / GRRM:Qhorin Halfhand
There is more I am sure. Woohoo, the aforementioned are my three favorite Fantasy writers.
