Calm Horizons (acrylic painting)
Hi!
I painted a picture of Calm Horizons, being approached by Warden Dios' shuttle, and wanted to share it. Hope you like!

One more "Wow. Amazing." for you to add to the growing pile.
Welcome to the Watch! I just want to say, we have a Category in the Album called "The Laborium", where we collect Donaldson-related artwork. If you upload your work into the Laborium, not only will it be among good company, and not only will it make the collection a bit more impressive, but you don't have to worry about the host service dropping your image in a little while. We have a lot of art threads which are missing the artwork because the picture is no longer available where it was linked from.
You can find the link to the Album at the top of any page, second row under the logo pic.

While Rebecca may have only posted to the Watch those few times, the setup she provided to her art makes it clear that her reading has made it all the way to pivotal scenes in TDAGD. Hers is not a jury that hasn't yet been fully informed.

Oops, I meant to put the word, "books", after the word, "the". Oh well, it was a freewheeling Friday after a long week of hiking through the woods looking for spotted owls for the government. It's fun, but so much exercise makes me a bit loopy by the end of the week.

Hi! Sorry! I should stop by more! I get so busy.
Stephen Donaldson's been in my top three favorite authors since I encountered Lord Foul's Bane in 1980 (which I'm currently re-reading yet again). I just finished The Illearth War and The Power that Preserves for the umpteenth time.
I've always loved science-fiction, and consider The Gap Cycle in my top 10 of that genre (that's pretty good, because he's holding his own against H. G. Wells and Frank Herbert and Larry Niven.)
I've had an image from Chaos and Order in my head for years of Nick and Sib on the asteroid, with Soar knifing out of the darkness, looming overhead. I loved the way Mr. Donaldson described that scene. I'd love to do that painting.
I'd also like to do a painting of High Lord Elena facing off with Kevin.
It would be something like the Marsh Wight painting here: https://www.artmajeur.com/en/art-galler ... s7/1807573 (shameless self promotion )
That's not from Donaldson's worlds... just something I made up. Elena's would be similar format. Though Kevin will be much, much larger than the monster in that painting.
On my wish list of paintings are also Lord Verement's final stand against Fleshharrower and Lord Hyrim's against Kinslaughterer. (Lots of final stands in Mr. Donaldson's books)
