WTF - Where's the Last Jedi HATE Thread?

Post by Zenlunatic »

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I must have slipped into some other alternate universe here on the Watch. I come to what is supposedly a forum about Star Wars, and NOT ONE thread about how much the LAST JEDI sucked and ruined Star Wars! What's going on here? I mean you can't seriously consider this a Star Wars forum if there are not threads calling for Rian Johnson to be consumed by Porg's or Kathleen Kennedy to be drawn and quartered.

Meh, yeah, maybe it's all getting to be a bit much...

FWIW, I didn't hate it, but I liked Rogue One and even Solo better.

I refuse to see it. As for everyone else, we tend to be a nitpicky bunch. A thorough discussion would take hours to write and volumes to read. I don't know that anyone has the time. Suffice to say:

It is garbage built upon garbage and leading into further garbage. If you want to continue loving Star Wars, avoid at all cost.

The end.

Oh, I didn't hate it. Not nearly as much as I hated TFA. (I quite liked R1, but haven't bothered with Solo.)

There is a thread in the Flicks forum about it though. :D

I liked it and enjoyed the whole story changeup of old is new again.
This movie had me closer to being happy about how Star Wars used to make me feel. It didnt make me forget where I was, as happened when I first saw Star Wars in 1977, but I didn't want it to end.....

It was a great sci-fi movie.
But a shitty Star Wars movie though.

TFA was ok, I saw lots of potential for a great story and character development going forward.
TLJ basically shit on everything.
I don't know or care about anyone in this trilogy.

I enjoyed it. Like Av, couldn't stand TFA, liked R1 best of these, and haven't bothered with Solo.

I think Rogue One was very much in line with the original movies .. but tbh .. since then and including the prequels .. its pretty much been free wheeling around the edges of the star wars universe.

I enjoyed them all .. and I will see Solo eventually .. cos, well .. Star Wars πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ and not a purist ;)

Which is probably the difference .. Im ok with great sci fi movies .. the fact that SW movies are different .. doesnt phase me at all .. so meh :P

It's been a while and I've been able to sit on this for a while. And I feel like I dislike this movie the more I think about it. But I really loved the Yoda scene.

And I feel that the best movie done since Lucas dropped out has been the Han Solo movie. I expected to hate it, but it was actually a lot more interesting and fun that I ever would have guessed. Then again, my least favorite so far was Rogue One. The ending was amazing, but I was bored through the majority of the rest of it.

Damn this new movie. It's making me hope I like it. Another good trailer, but likely another bad movie. With some cool bits.

JJ - end it better than Lost, you bastard.

Who is the Skywalker that is Rising, anyway?

The only people left in that family are Leia and Kylo.

I'd make a penis joke here, but I'm above that.

I'm guessing it is Kylo, but that is certainly a guess. It better not be one of those "Kylo had a twin that wasn't set up at all, and it is Rose" or some crap. Finn is related to Lando, and Rey is actually descended from Emperor Palpatine through the Force. Hell, he's now officially Anakin's father, so why not go nuts.
It's a small universe after all.
