Trying to figure out how I'll get to see it here in the States. It will be on a streaming service called CBS All Access, to which I don't pay to subscribe.

At first I was excited and then I considered that the premise and content of the show could be undesirable if handled poorly. We all want to see more of Picard but after watching some of Discovery I am concerned that the series may be so unlike STNG that it could aggravate long time fans, of which I am one.
I will of course wait to see how it turns out before I pass any kind of judgment.

I get that .. and its always a concern .. I wasnt a great fan of Enterprise, kinda irritated me for the first season and then I got over it. Still not a fave .. but meh.
Nothing will stop me giving it a go .. cos .. well Star Trek.

and what have I got to loose? Well nothing. If it is good .. yay .. but I kinda think if Picard is in it .. it cant be bad. Heres hoping anyhoo.
A thousand crossed fingers and toes

Well, it certainly looks like the people of the 25th century won't have found a cure for getting old.

Rolling Stone: What was the first thing you heard about an X-Men movie?
Patrick Stewart: I walked in the door, Lauren picked something up from her desk and held it up. And I looked at it, and I said, "What am I doing on the front of a comic book?" And she said, "Exactly."

Hopefully they will not mess up the series like whoever messed up this cake!

I laughed quite contently a few minutes when I saw that cake fail!

Sonequa Martin Green did say that at the start of the season they do not end up on the safe haven world of Terralysium like they planned. They are somewhere else and, the fact that its a new planet no one knows anything about really allows them to explore the shows title. Its all about discovery. But there are big problems on the other side of that wormhole, Ajala added
Ultimately though, according to Kurtzman, Star Trek: Picard is going to show the return of a leader who feels like he is right for now. A leader who has only changed in that he is older, but not in what he believes in. Picard is soul searching but still fighting, just with less resources than he has had in the past. So, to achieve his goals, he will have to dig deeper.
