Has anybody else read this gripping turn on the old Dracula tale? The book charts the tale of the search, over three generations (well - not exactly, but close) for answers respecting the nasty bloodsucker, told by the mechanism of a story within a story within a story. Replete with 'old country' atmosphere and eosoteric lore pertaining to the strigoi the tale wallops along and keeps one hooked from start to finish. I'm on my third reading of the book, and am enjoying every page turning moment. You hear the term 'unputdownable' bandied about with gay abandon in the blurbs of books these days - but in this case it is true. I resent every moment I'm not reading it when I am (if you get my meaning). If you haven't read this, find, buy or steal a copy and do so; if you have read it - read it again!
