You all take some time to rest and prepare for the evening. The sun sets, lamps are lit in the streets. People at the cafes and sitting on terraces move indoors to the bars and casinos. The city gets quieter outside of these pockets of light and noise where people gamble their livelihoods to test the favour of their Goddess.
In The Rested Traveler, the common room fills up, the sound of people drinking and talking carrying up the stairways to the rooms that you occupy.
The time has almost arrived for you to head back out to the God's Quarter for the night's tasks. You have a little time before you leave to discuss your plans and make any final arrangements.

I leave Rum and go to my room to change clothes. Presumably, I run into Paula or Richard, and tell them what my assignment is.

"We should plan this out a bit." To Bela "Was your discussion with Hester relevant to tonight's activities? If so, are you willing to tell us?"
To Paula "Myself or Bela should try to be in sight of you and the magistrate, so you can signal if you have anything of interest. Particularly anything about the construction records. How would you like to let us know you have information?"

"Sorry, I can't help. Lord Smith has me off to make a payment of some sort. Don't know anything about it, unfortunately. I'm going to a wine bar opposite the west side of the Guild Hall named The Gilded Crocus."
