So I am on the board though my phone. When I try to copy an image those is what I get...

I try the brackets to get the pic to post. Nothing. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?

It needs to be a direct link to the image; that is a URL for a page which has the image on it. You need to right-click and "view image" (or the equivalent in your browser) to get the direct link. In this case that's:

My problem with posting pictures is that they are from my phone and the file is too big.

When I upload a photo to a hosting site, such as imgbb, it has an edit option once uploaded where I can change the size of the photo. When I make the photos smaller, I find the file sizes are reduced as well.

Yeah, or there are online resizers that let you resize and download a smaller version to then upload.

But a 3rd party file host like ImageBB should accept all but perhaps the largest of files.

These image posting sites drop your picture after a while. Too many times I read threads about cool pictures, but the picture is no longer there. Wish there was something better.

For example (sadly): The Photography thread - with pictures.

When I use imgbb, there's an option which says not to auto delete. I don't often go back to check if photos I posted using imgbb eventually stop working, though.

Ok.when trying to post pics with my phone it says to copy.

If you can right-click on that picture, and select "view image" then the URL you see on that page (https://www.previewsworld.com/SiteImage ... 151832.jpg) will be the one to put ith the tag.

Is there a way to post a photo so someone has to deliberate click on it to see it? I really want to share a collage photo of the work done so far on my reconstruction medical mastectomy tattoos, but can understand if there are those who may not wish to see fully exposed breasts, even if they are reconstructed and there won't be any "nipple shots," as there are no nipples on them. I figure if the photo is hidden by a spoiler, the member would be making a conscious decision to click on it to see them.

I think the last time I tried spoiler tags with a photo, the picture still showed through.
