Just another Land lover of peace, and long tales.

I am looking around online because I am in the process of finishing the books finally. I started them 20 years ago, but when the series finished I just could not bring myself to finish them. Now I am trying to finish and very happy I found this forum and site dedicated to the Land. It has helped shape who I am today as a person and is by far the greatest story I have ever had the privilege of being able to enjoy. I can't wait to deep dive into discussions and pick other people's brains... it has been especially hard to get people I love to give the books an honest shot for whatever reason.

I do have a small favor to ask though... does anyone happen to know where I can gett Against All Things Ending the audiobook specifically read by Scott Brick? I have listened to the first 8 by him, I have the 10th... but the 9th for some reason I just cannot find. It says on the brickbybrick website that it is an audible exclusive and won't let me purchase it. But on audible it is narrated by another person. I would really like to finish the books read by Scott, am I missing something or would someone be able to point me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated.

*IIRC, there is no commercially-available Brick audiobook of AATE.

Be Welcome to the Watch, Captain.
Be Well Come and True.

If I recall correctly, AATE was read by someone else. Audiocovenant (Scott Brick) was trying to get the rights to record it again. But, I don't use audiobooks, so I do not know if that ever happened.

If you're willing to risk spoilers, you could post in The Last Chrons forum in the AATE sub-forum, as not all members of the Watch read The Summonsing. You may reach others who do listen to the audiobooks there

Many of us are Facebook friends with audiocovenant, as we met him at an Elohimfest. If you are on Facebook, you could try messaging him there. You could also try sending him a private message here via the Watch, but I think he visits very rarely, and I don't know if he has notifications on.

Back on Facebook, there are also several Chrons related groups, whether called by Thomas Covenant or called Kevinswatch. You can reach out there as well and should get an informed answer.

I think it was the first Elohimfest I attended. I remember audiocovenant being at the steakhouse. I'm pretty sure he concentrated on the salad bar for his meal, if I'm remembering correctly.

Yes. Tim Gerard Reynolds.
I wish I could say "He's no Scott Brick, but he does a decent enough job."
But I can't.

I have no idea why Donaldson's publisher's went that way.
I'd hate to think it was a negotiating tactic aimed at Scott.
But Donaldson himself didn't have a say in it, I am sure.

If you want to complete the Chronicles on audiobooks, you're going to have to spring for the one book read by Reynolds, sadly.

The absence of Brick's Haruchai-voice is sorely missed in that book.

So audiocovenant never managed to get the rights to do another recording of it? That's a bummer-drag.
