Silver Surfer

It's impossible to keep a Surfer thread to the Surfer. A ridiculous number of ridiculously powerful guest stars are always turning up.
His title that started in 1987 is incredible. Originally written by Steve Englehart and art by Marshall Rogers. Rogers left after the 10th issue. Amazing stuff. The Elders of the Universe, some of whom we already knew and others we didn't, have a plan. It involves Galactus. #10 has a very cool conversation between Galactus and Eternity.
Ron Lim took over the art not long after Rogers left. Lim is SO good! Englehart/Lim had a lot of good stuff. My favorite is a battle between Galactus and the Inbetweener. This is one of my favorite Galactus battles, along with his fights with Phoenix (Rachel Summers), and Sphinx.
Another thing of interest to me now than most is they brought back a character from Shang Chi, Master of Kung Fu. That's kind of unexpected. But I'm a huge Shang Chi fan.
Englehart left after his excellent Kree-Skrull War arc ended in 31.
Jim Starlin began writing soon after. This was when Thanos returned, with the whole Infinity thing, so he was in many issues. Also Adam Warlock, Drax, and the crew.
Ron Marz started writing in 49, with several more issues of Thanos.
Marz and Lim brought us another of Galaxtus' herald, Morg. A real piece of work. This was an arc called The Herald Ordeal, in issues 70-75. I love this arc. All the heralds are there, tons of power being thrown around.
The next arc is about a guy named Tyrant. Seriously powerful dude. Heh. The story, which is continued in a mini-series called Cosmic Powers, involves Galactus, some of his heralds, Thanos, Jack of Hearts, and done others.
Ok, I'm too tired to keep going now.
