I don't know too much about him.
I liked him in the movie Victory though.

Yeah, my strongest memory of him by far is that movie. I've never followed the sport. But it seems to me he was the one who started it all.

Well, LOL, I guess in the US he was actually a very big (perhaps massive) part of the national popularisation of soccer. :D

Whether you consider that being "started it all" is open to interpretation I guess. :lol:

However, he certainly was arguably (and probably in my opinion), the greatest football player of all time.

(I never heard of that movie. :D Had to Google it.)

The movie is silly but fun.
Stalone has way too much screen time, imo.


There's a great line with Pele though.
They needed a goal and he says something like "why don't you just give it to me and I'll run down the field and score."
:lol:

But that was what the Germans were expecting.
