I tralked this over with Ur-Vile last week. (My idea) What do you think?

We just need more people here to post in the Gap forum in order to generate enough interest for that to happen.

Well they've done a Mordents need one... And I think (But am not sure) that the Gap has more.

God-I knew this was going to happen! We're trying to restart the MN read and attract new members-we took a break to give the Reed Stephens read a chance to get off the ground. Please organize as much as u want but please give us a break until March at least.

Danlo, I'd prefer it myself that no such happened until much later - when we get more interest here and people have finished the other group reads. As mod of this forum, that's my position.

I don't think I ever considered the Gap series to be dissectable - is it?

Sure - just don't give me one of the scientific interludes.

I would like to see this eventually happen, but beg you to wait until the other group reads are done. Would make life a lot easier...

It certainly would. My brain is unraveling before my eyes as it is. But any time a Gap dissection starts, I'm there.

Actually Danlo... I suggested this to Ur-Vile before that new forum you mod was made. :P

That's great Darth! And I wholeheartedly support any group reads. I never said I had a monopoly on them. A group read of the Gap sequence (as SRD calls it) was enivitable and will be a very important part of the Watch for years to come. I don't know what my new forum has to do with anything I would asked the same thing if the MN reads were still in MN discussions. We've been planning to reenergize them for over 2 months-all all was asking is that you please give us a month to get going again.

Yeah, I have to agree with the main arguement that we currently have a lot of Group Reads going on. I think a Gap Read right now could be overkill. People can only group read so much. Maybe later on we can start one. Until then, let's just keep the Gap Forum active.-jay

Shall we call it Crossing the Gap?

I have to agree. We still have 1 1/4 Mordant books, 1 3/4 TCTC books, and I don't know how many Reed Stephens books in the works right now. Then, of course, we'll have the first "Runes" book. But, if you could drag Tom, or some other person who's not locked into the current schedule, then by all means start now. I know I'd like to do "Daughter of Regals" & "Reave the Just", but I'm waiting until "Runes" is under way before I start harassing Jay and Danlo about that....
