I'd sooner place red-hot pokers in my nostrils whilst dancing naked in a volcano than watch another comic book movie!

As with all comic movies, I'd be excited, but wouldn't hope for much. Not many moments come anywhere near Nightcrawler tearing up the White House. More often it's like the last Batcrap movie. But Iron Man could be awesome!!!!

Now we are talkin! Of course I am one of the biggest Iron Man fans there is. I own every Iron man comic published. An Iron Man film is something that is so exciting to me I can't breathe properly.
Now for the reality. The Iron Man movie has been through many different stages over the last few years. The biggest news I'd heard was that Tom Cruise was interested in the part. He recently admitted that he continued to be interested. I'm fine with that. My view of Tony Stark appears to be similar to that of the producers and the writing team currently at work on the script. Tony Stark is and should be a character that is similar to a cross between Howard Hughes and James Bond. To me, Iron Man is the most believable superhero mainly because his abilities rest on his ingenuity and on technology. Not on mutant powers or the fact that he's really from another planet.
Here is Cinescape's news on the subject. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom for the newest info.

Here is a little update courtesy of superherohype. Avi Arad made the following statement recently concerning the status of my favorite human tin can. "Iron Man starts production in the middle of the year for a November, 2005 release."
Wa-freaking-hoo!

I voted "No" just to upset the flaming Iron Man fan who just posted twice in a row.

Right. Believable. Sure. How many heart attacks has he had now, three more than aunt May? Gimme a break.

How can you have a heart attack if you don't have a heart? Or at least a synthetic heart.
The film will speak for itself.
