Contacting Mr. Donaldson?

Hello! Very nice forum! I had no idea it existed... or I would have been here long ago.

I very much enjoy Mr. Donaldson's works, especially the Gap Series. I'm interested in creating an open-ended PC space simulation which would accurately reflect the universe of the Gap novels. Problem is, I can't seem to find a way to contact Mr. Donaldson for approval. Without his approval, the project is dead in the water.

Does anyone know of an email address besides the publisher (which is my last resort, since they receive a great deal of emails)?

Thanks in advance for any help. :D

Hello, Viridian! And welcome!

I don't know SRD's email but he's been known to answer what he receives.

Good luck! :)

Thank you Guest! I'll compose a suitable message and give it a whirl.

I have to admit it's slightly intimidating writing a message my favorite author (since I was 13!) might read. I forsee many, many proofreads before I hit the 'send' button!

I think Guest was kidding. My advice would be to send a letter to a publishing company who prints his books or a message for him on his official website.

I'd recommend going to the official site (www.StephenRDonaldson.com), and posting the question on the Gradual Interview page (in the "from the author" section). That's the surest way to get something in front of him. He's been answering questiosn a lot lately.

Thanks everyone, both for the welcome and the advice. :D

I began reading SRD when LFB was published, but never, not once in all my travels, have I ever found anyone one who had a similar interest. So it was a wonder to find this forum. Stayed up 'till the early morning hours reading posts...

Thanks again! I'll try to reach SRD at that website.
