Let's write our own book 7!

Instead of holding our breath until our face turns blue waiting for a book 7, why don't we all get together and write our own (not for profit, but for the love of the series)
Everyone interested would say so and the names be drawn from a hat to see which chapter you get to write. You'd have to follow the storyline of everything that was written before your turn, but once your turn appears you could add whatever you want to contribute. Once your chapter is finished, the entire story would go to the next person and so on and so on..
Just think of being able to bring back some of the characters you so much enjoyed or the thrill of creating brand new ones... Face it, it's time for the wild magic to return.

O.K go for it - Why don't you start us of? Whats the book called? Are you going to base it after TWGW or will it be back in High Lord Kevin's time? Should we try to mimic SRD's style or should we each have a style of our own? will we post our chapters here on the Watch or somewhere else?
Alot of questions I know but hell, I'm excited. This is really a mighty undertaking, I just hope the results are worth the effort, sadly alot of people think they can write but few can.

Me neither - maybe a new talent is somewhere on this board waiting to be discovered.

Anything that is done would have to have a prologue, detailing what has gone before.
I would suggest a story after the end of book 6, with a period of time inbetween the end of 6 and the start of 7, of a number of years, to be decided.
Mwwahahahaha! Well how about it? I think I'll even start a prologue now. Not that I am the right person for the job, but I just feel the need!!!
See ya

well, you might want to continue my story, The Last Quest of Lord Mhoram, which is buried somewhere in this forum. it is set between the First and Second chronicles, and has quite a nice start imho, but I just abandoned it at one point

Well, let's get cracking on this, fellow Watchers! We can't just sit around and hope for our man Donaldson to write another Covenant novel, now can we? So...who wants to write the first chapter?

I actually started writing my own book 7 a couple of years ago before I heard that SRD was writing his. Mine started out with Linden Avery as the chief MD at the local hospital and ended up treating a patient that turned out to be Lord Foul possesing the man's body. I didn't end up writing much more than that.

On the subject of writing ...
I posted the following under Scatterlings, The Collective Forum, the Hall of Gifts tonight, but wasn't sure if it was the right place.
Anyone interested? No timewasters!
Anyone
Is this the place to post say a chapter of a book I've written?
I'm afraid to show it to anyone I know in case it gets trashed or I get ridiculed. It's weird really, because I really want to know if there is any mileage in it, ie would anyone be interested in reading it.
I've pretty much completed a prologue chapter for a fantasy novel (the whole book is written but has been completed over 5 years so there are gaps, rushed sections, continuity, plot and name gaps etc, so it needs radical work in terms of rewrites). I've also planned out 2 further volumes of the whole story so I know where the story is going.
If this is the right place, then is anyone interested in giving some honest feedback, and can I attach a word document?
If not, where is the right place to post it?
Full of trepidation
