What about Runes?

Are we going to do a group read for Runes when it comes out?
I know it is kind of a stupid question but I hadn't heard anything so I thought I would ask.

We've discussed it, but not here caam. Yes, that's why I'm whipping Dissecting the Land, like a rabid stagecoach driver, so we can finish WGW by October. The consensus was that it make sense to attempt to, intially, confine Runes here so spoilers don't fly around the Watch like a bad disease. Plus: What fun to dissect fresh meat together!!

hmmm...I would rather wait until after the holidays to start on Runes. That way everyone will have read it by then at least once (assuming it actually does come out in October, that is). Then people will be better able to pick the chapters they wish to dissect, favorites and so forth.
But, that's just my humble opinion.
Count me in either way!

Holidays, Smolidays!
Well we need to try to keep Runes confined anyway--and early--so maybe we'll start a spoiler specific General Runes discussion topic here before the the holidays. Then have Furls do the introduction to the dissection provided she gets us all very nice gifts!

I thought that a group read of Runes ASAP would be a given. Tho I can see the wisdom of waiting 'til after Christmas -- maybe some folks won't get their copy 'til the holidays (oh, sad and piteous creatures! How I feel for them!). Plus we may pick up some new Watch members who want to read along with us.
In any case, I'm in.

I will be "hanging on the lock" as we say here in Sweden. Buy it and read it as soon as possible...four months to go...seems like forever but I just read the prologue...it was awesome...
