Okay, this question will probably be shot down very quickly, but I really can't remember, and I don't have my books handy: is TC's fear of heights ever an issue in the Second Chrons, after the initial descent from KW? It was such a prominent feature of him in the First Chrons. (Granted, he spends most of the second either in coma or in catatonia

)

I just read in TOT that when the Kemper had Covenant tied down and was trying to get at his mind, he caused TC to remember vertigo. What Covenant remembered should have made him reel with vertigo, but he felt nothing. The issue there wasn't Covenant's fear of heights but the Kemper's failure to reach him.
I seem to remember from my last reading (but I may be wrong), later Covenant goes charging like fireworks up to the top of the Sandhold tower, and again he fears nothing, not even heights.

He had issues with heights still, but he was so much more concerned with the venom and the danger within himself that I think he all but ignored the danger outside himself.

I think that by the Second Chronicles Covenant pretty much knew how to resist vertigo...I don't have my books handy, either (cursed organizing...I can never find anything when I clean!

), but I seem to remember him finding a way to feel stable...something about the eye of a paradox, I think...anyway, my memory is a little fuzzy, so anyone can feel free to shoot me down on this one *grin*
