New Dr Who
That's right, there's a new Dr Who series being made this year. The next actor to play the dr will be Christopher Eccleston (the major from 28 days later). It's being scripted by the guy behind the british series of queer as folk, and by what I'm hearing, it sounds very very good.
I doubt it can match up to the older ones, of course I speek in characters and storylines, not effects. Of course this new series is going to have much better action scenes. But I think it will lack the goodness of the old ones. However to say it definitely won't be as good and not to give then a try would be foolish. So I'll watch the first few episodes, and see how it goes.

I can't wait for the new Dr Who. Billie Piper!? Actually, she may be quite good. Did anyone watch the beebs online Dr Who, Scream of the Shalka?
btw, Ur Vile, I love your avatar.
I always feel very emotional around about this time. WWI and WWII are guaranteed to move me in ways that other horrors do not.

The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

Thanks, Emma. Wilfred Owen is someone I admire very much. I only wish I could reach his heights of empathy, intelligence and talent. For me, he is the soul of concern in each war.edinburghemma wrote:I can't wait for the new Dr Who. Billie Piper!? Actually, she may be quite good. Today's news flash, the Daleks are back in.
I'm excited that Christopher Eccleston is going to play the Doctor. I remember him most from Elizabeth (his scary Duke of Norfolk was as historically incorrect as the rest of the film, but very effective), and the villain in Gone In 60 Seconds. Powerful actor.Peter Fray wrote:in the face of a wave of protests from Dr Who fans the world over, the BBC and Mr Hancock have agreed that the Daleks will return in the 13-part series, which is now being filmed, but with a tweak to make them more mobile.

Daleks and Dr. Who
Dragonlilly, a question you may be able to answer. Who is this Hancock fellow? What authority does he have to speak for Nation's estate interests? What is the source of your information?
