1) After the Goldrush
2) Comes a Time
3) Rust never Sleeps

Consider me enticed!!!

Strange that I've never ever listened to him, until i found out a couple of weeks ago that he's playing Glastonbury this year. Went out and bought 'Harvest' and 'On the beach', though I've only listened to Harvest so far, I'm loving that and even tried learning a few tracks on guitar this morning (heart of gold's dead easy!) Our local independent cd shop has all his cds for £5 (well, lots of them anyway) so I picked up Harvest Moon today as well.

So, what should I be looking out for in particular?

As far as a very good Neil Young primer is concerned pick up Decade, the two CD retrospective.

Great stuff! Although born in 1961 I never quite connected with the musical spirit of the 60's. I respect what a lot of those groups accomplished but couldn't really relate. Neil Young on the other hand I have always loved. Maybe he seemed a little more timeless to me (sorry for the cliche). Helpless is easily in my top 25 songs of all time. Thanks to all for the links...

Have a suspicion that you need to live it the UK to watch this - let me know.

"Neil Young traces his 40-year musical journey, utilising unseen performance footage. (R)"

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00f815m/ ... Be_Denied/

A very VERY honest Neil Young talks about his career. Various CSN and crazy horse and The Squires members give their opinion too. Good show, he comes across a bit of a bastard, but 'it was all for the music'.

how annoying! still, if it's any consolation, we pay £120ish pounds per year per household for the priviledge of you not watching that! Hopefully someone will put it on youtube soon.

is there any way that you can watch it 'through' a pc in the uk?

Love the melody:

TILL THE MORNING COMES
(Written by Neil Young)

I'm gonna give you
till the morning comes
Till the morning comes,
till the morning comes.

I'm only waiting
till the morning comes
Till the morning comes,
till the morning comes.

I'm gonna give you
till the morning comes
Till the morning comes,
till the morning comes.

I'm only waiting
till the morning comes
Till the morning comes,
till the morning comes.

I saw Neil Young and Crazy horse in concert when he was doing the Garage tours. Man it was so many years ago..I remember some kind of robotic bug and at one point he is just doing some acoustic stuff and he stops and acts as if he hears someone and he shouts back (paraphrasing) "No mom, we are going to be playing a lonnnnnnng time." and the place (it was the Omni in Atlanta which is not there anymore) went crazy.
