Does Jack Sawyer Remind anyone of Agent Cooper?

Remember Cooper from Twin Peaks? Jack (Black House and the Talisman) remind me of him quite a bit in his capacity for good, and zen-like detective work. Cooper was good, almost to the point of goofiness. His trust in Love and good led to his demise in the Black Lodge, if you remember the show.
