I want to thank everyone on Kevin's Watch who contributed to the "birthday card" I received yesterday. I appreciate it more than I can say! I suspect that none of you need to be told writing is a lonely pursuit--and that all of you know what that feels like. So when a group of (comparative) strangers makes such an effort on my behalf, it warms my heart.

I would recommend against PMing him. He probably won't get to read them at all, and I'm sure he'll prefer to answer questions via the Gradual Interview.

What can I say that does not sound pale in the echos of what you have written, or the echos of better suited writers than myself whom have already replied here.
Nothing except thank you.
I wish I could have added to the list of well wishers for your birthday but I was not here in time and my hope is you will someday see these replies.
