alot of the speculation about the Last Chrons involves TC back to his old self walking around, fighting Foul, muttering "Hellfire", etc...

thats what I want to see too... TC is what MAKES the 1st and 2nd Chrons...

but what if we are wrong, I mean the exerpt from the reading doesn't even feature TC..

I mean sure, he will make an appearance, but he is

DEAD , at the end of WGW he is now sort of this all-knowing ghost, and part of the Arch of Time (I always pictured him as sort of like Atlas, holding it up LOL)

So, what form will TC take in the new books, ...and... what's really bugging me... (this is the part where I get slammed)...

will stories of The Land be the same/as good without TC as we know him?

TC will be back, but considering that likely many years have passed on earth, how many years will have passed for him as the Arch? More importantly... what has Foul been able to do to him in that time?

Of course we can discuss the books - that's why we're here - but it's a fact that we have members who are still reading the Chronicles for the first time, and it's just common courtesy to either blank it out as above (incidentally, you can read the "spoilered" text by highlighting it) or by placing a warning at the beginning of the post. I for one would have been apoplectic if someone had revealed parts of the plot before I got that far.

As A Gunslinger mentioned, the Law of Death has been broken - SRD himself has hinted that there is no reason for Covenant to remain "dead" in the strict sense of the word. My personal opinion is that Covenant will have an active central role, but probably not in the way we are used to. I would suspect he won't be hiking around the Land quite so much now.

He has grown a mullet.

No, seriously, I suspect that TC will not be so much a central character (as in the first two books) as an important support.

If that's the case, the third series should be titled "The Chronicles of Linden Avery".

I agree. All or some the dead in Andelain may physically aid the new quest. I'd love to see Mhoram kick some RAver ass again!

The Dead in Andelain aren't really dead?

Was that something that was shown in WGW? Or something that has leaked from posts about Runes?

I agree with Noname, it's not that easy, or it shouldn't be- I mean, that's death in the Land, you are just like you were, you gain no additional insight (like Berek in WGW), but you just have no body?
Also you are totally still part of ordinary temporal time? What do they do for all eternity, play cards?

I think it'd be interesting to see a Land without death. Would have some interesting results, and give Foul some new ways to work.

Didn't Linden repair the Law of Death at the end of WGW with the new Staff of Law? Or is it still broken?

Again, we have it from Stephen Donaldson himself that the Law of Death is still broken
