Who is SRD's most spineless character?

Who is the lowest form of life in all of SRD's work? Some of these choices you may heartily disgree with-if you do let us know! Some you know, deep in your heart, are pure unadulterated scum. :D VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE LOWLIFE :D And tell us why. If I've left someone off the list let me know and I'll try to get them on it ASAP.

(thanks to Myste and Darth Revan for helping me germinate this idea 8))

I wouldn't put Frik up there
Spoiler
He finally developed a spine and that's what killed him

Frik was spineless for most of the story tho, so I'd still probably pick him.

Scriven is anything but spineless. Hello! Creature of the night! Lol.

Yes IMHO Scriven rocks! I voted for the Armigrite-no redeemable characteristics what so ever! I'm impressed by the number of folks who have voted so far! Even if you haven't read some of the stories listed here vote anyway, have fun! :D

Santonin, in TWL, crept out from under a rock. Sneaking around with a fragment of the Illearth Stone

I'll replace Scriven with Santonin--alas poor Scriven doesn't deserve to be up there! 8)

That's exactly what I said! But Danlo wouldn't listen to me! Though you can't really blame him... Half the stuff that comes out of my mouth is a load of crap... :P

For pure spinelessness (as opposed to sliminess) I've gotta go with the Armigite. I hate Rant, but as danlo pointed out in an earlier thread, he was under mind control (though I think he would have been plenty hateful without it). Godsen is the closest comparison, yet he did try to grow a spine there at the end.

heh, He should have waited until a later date to develop a spine... It would have kept him alive. :P

How come Thomas Covenant himself isn't an alternative? He'd qualify, for a lot of the first trilogy... :)

I don't know if TC was actually spineless... TC was actually pretty stubborn; he refused to believe in anything that was happening to him; he refused to accept an untenable responsibility; he also refused to take what he felt was a false position as resident Hero of the Land.

Being afraid and being spineless aren't the same things. Armigite sacrificed his principles (assuming he had any to begin with) so that he could remain ignorant of what was happening to his Care. TC fought for his own principles ferociously. They just weren't the principles that everyone else in the Land held dear.

I completely concur with Myste there 8) Thomas was not Spineless. :P

After losing his family, friends, social life, and now presumably his sanity, I think it was quite smart of TC to try to hang on to what he thought he had left. Notice that in the 'real' world, he did not hesitate to save the girl.

I think so too! 8)
