Russell Crowe is no TC

In the "news" section on the official SRD site is this blurb...
As it happens, Russell Crowe has decided NOT to take on the role of Thomas Covenant, no doubt (drum-roll, please) because he considered it too taxing. Imagine my surprise. As you may know, money people typically commit to a movie, not because they like the project, but because a "bankable" star has agreed to participate. Therefore the "Covenant" film remains purely hypothetical.
:LOLS: :haha: (There goes my iced tea all over my monitor again!!!)

Does that mean he's, at least, familiar with the Chrons? Or is this a joke? If he is that would be kewl! 8)

"Being familiar" could well mean that he has read a 5-page synopsis given to him by his agent. Do not think too high of them actors...

I don't think actors should be required to read a whole novel in order to do a character within that novel, even if it is the protagonist. Sure, Crowe or whomever might get brownie points from us Covenant fans for sitting down and reading through the Chronicles, but their job is to act, not write book reports. And good actors like Russell Crowe do their job very well.

Hey, I should be his agent.

As it is mine. Get a life :P

And there is a difference between truth and fact. Truth is in the eye of the beholder... Fact isn't. Fact is fact, and cannot be argued with. :P
