Do your parents like what you like/liked

Aside from my dad liking a lot of the bands I like and my grandfather liking Shawshank Redemption and Scarface, nobody else has an active interest in things I find interesting. How about you and yours?

Parents, do your kids like TCTC? Parents with teenagers, do your kids like you?

My parents and I had few likes in common...but my children and I share quite a few similar tastes in music, literature, and drama. :) Neither have read TCTC yet, they have been a bit young for that, but I have been thinking of getting my older one started on Donaldson and Martin this summer. :)
As far as I know, my children like me. Now that it is summer they will start my day every day by running into my room and jumping onto the bed to give me a great big group hug. :) I certainly love them. :)

My mother and I shared similar intrests in movies and television when I was growing up. Though I had 8 brothers and sisters, my mom and I went to see several science fiction/ horror films together. My Dad and I have very little in common outside of golf and football. My daughter (ProRider514) and I share a great many things. She has an interest in science fiction and fantasy books and we are both die hard simpsons and futurama fans. She and I went to see The Phantom Menace 4 times together. :D

Definitely a chip off the old block. She's learning to play basslines from U2 and Nirvana as I type this. I'm so proud. :D

Really? That's sad. So, can I get their phone number? I'd really like to know how they got you to shut up! :D

Wow, that's so sad. They have 12 step programs for that, though; you'll be free of the addiction in no time.

LOL! No, you wouldn't want their number. They're not the most... what is the word? Unviolent? Yes, unviolent people in the world... tip... don't have anything to do with them. I got out of there as soon as I could! :D

Yup, that's pretty much what Satan and Lord FOul said about their Creators, too. 8O

LOL! I suppose that's true... When I say parents... I mean my mom, and step-dad. I don't actually know my dad. But my sister thinks he's nice. But she has a pretty twisted opinion on what is nice... they probably cook babies together or something...

It's always the step-father, eh?

My Dad is a politcally active guy (adopted dad, that is).

My kids (9 years old) like a lot of the same stuff I do...my son in particular. But I spend a lot of time with them...coaching their "theatre team" etc.

My dad and I share music and cars as hobbies, but he never liked me collecting comics.
