Just some song excerpts to get the blood flowing
Oh my love, my darling, I've hungered for your touch a long, lonely time.
Now I'm talking to myself,
Running in the heat,
Begging for your touch
in the middle of the street
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
Close your eyes
Come take my hand
Can you feel my heart beating?
Do you understand?

Touch Me-Doors
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon now
Touch me, babe
Can't you see that I am not afraid?
What was that promise that you made?
Why won't you tell me what she said?
What was that promise that she made?
Now, I'm gonna love you
Till the heavens stop the rain
I'm gonna love you
Till the stars fall from the sky
For you and I
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon now
Now touch me, baby
Can't you see that I am not afraid?
What was that promise that you made?
Why won't you tell me what she said?
What was that promise that she made?
I'm gonna love you
Till the heavens stop the rain
I'm gonna love you
Till the stars fall from the sky for you and I I'm gonna love you
Till the heavens stop the rain
I'm gonna love you
Till the stars fall from the sky
For you and I

That is from a song on the
City of Angels soundtrack, by Alanis Morissette.

Yup. IMO, her best song, and the best song on that soundtrack.

Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely lifetime
If you want me to--I will.
For if I ever saw you
I didn't catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same.
Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you when we're apart.
And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
You know I will
I will.

you and I will make each night a first
every day a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us
Because we have the brightest
Love... From Evergreen by Barbra Streisand

You're here
there's nothing I fear
and I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay
forever this way
you are safe in my heart
and my heart will go on and on... From My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion, off of the Titanic soundtrack
******
God must know
how I love you so
He's blessed us here this day
as man and wife...
And I dream of you
as I've dreamed of you all my life... From I've Dreamed of You by Barbra Streisand
******
I've looked around enough to know
that's you're the one I want to go
through time with... From Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce
*******
And then, there is this one...one of the most simple and most beautiful love songs I have ever heard...
She Is His Only Need, by Wynonna Judd
Billy was a small town loner
Who never did dream
Of ever leaving southern Arizona
Or ever hearing wedding bells ring
He never had a lot of luck with the ladies
But he sure had a lot of good working skills
Never cared about climbing any ladder
He knew the way in a small cafe, found the will
He met Miss Bonnie
And a little bit of her was a little too much
A few movies and a few months latter
The feeling got strong enough
They didn’t own a car
So it must have been love
That drove him uptown for a diamond
That’s when he started goin’...
Over the line
Working overtime
To give her things just to hear her say she don’t deserve them
But he loves her and he just kept going overboard
Over the limit to afford to give her things he knew she wanted
‘Cause without her where would he be?
See, it’s not for him
She is his only need
Ring on her finger and one on the ladder
A new promotion every now and then
Bonnie worked until she couldn’t tie her apron
Then stayed at home and had the first of two children
And my, how the time did fly
The babies grew up and moved away
Left 'em sitting on the front porch rocking
And Billy watching Bonnie’s hair turn gray
And ev’ry once in a while you could see him get up
And he’d head downtown
‘Cause he heard about something she wanted
And it just had to be found
Didn’t matter how simple or how much
It was love
And, boy, that love was something
Strong enough to keep a man goin’..
Over the line
Working overtime
To give her things just to hear her say she don’t deserve them
But he loves her and he just kept going overboard
Over the limit to afford to give her things he knew she wanted
‘Cause without her where would he be?
See, it’s not for him
She is his only need
Over the line
Working overtime
She is his only need
His only need
Overboard
Over the limit
Just for her
She is his only need
His only need

Baby dance all night
With your ass on fire
And your hands up high
And feel me one more time

Flying high, flying low
Smile of sun, bake of heat
Swoop and rush, enticing flight
Dip and sway, talons reach
Echoes sing, screech
Into heaven or thunder
Stony grip, rainbow touch
Agony cries out, and out
Flowing lava, floating rain
We fit like two halves of sky
and dragons in rut

you probably haven't heard it but you may have read it !
OH I think I must , sorry joy!
but since we are on a new page.
You may have all read it last month, it was the feature publication in
Aradicus Monthly a bi-monthly publication of the best works of poetry and literature for the previous year.
Only when i originally read it it was authored by Ima P. Lagerist and had a few more stanzas which really brought out the whole essence of the underlying sanctification of the meaning of Life.
*******************************************************
Of course then again I could be so full of *IT* that my eyes are turning from their lovely shade of blue to a caca tint of brown.
Please disregard this post to anyone who wants to read something Factual.
It was an Inside Joke, and was refernece to two previous posts I deleted after they had their intended affect.
Congratulations Dragonlily !! An outstanding entry, {even though it had nothing to do with touching me

}
which I'm sure she might do with a ball bat if she could right now
It Deserves More attention than what it is currently receiving.. If it was in My POwer < HINT HINT > I would make it MORE well known across the watch <HINT HINT>

That is the most confusing post I have read in a long time, including Revan's efforts.

LOL CJ. And thank you, Danlo.
TRC, you force me to set the record straight. My very own
original poem Dragon Sky will therefore be given its own thread in the Hall of Gifts. (Just as you intended, you rascal.)
Fist, it's a very nice thread. We now return to our regularly scheduled, pleasantly steamy programming.
