Rename of Current Forum

Maybe this will get flamed as a loser idea, but so be it, I will suggest it anyways. We have a General Discussion and then right above it we have General Fantasy/Sci-fi Discussion I would like to suggest that it be changed to Other Authors The majority of posts in there and topics are all related to books and other literature. Anything else that people would like to submit that is fantasy or science fiction related can be broken up into other forums be they related to television or movies or music or etc... Wouldn't it be more appropriate to have it as a place for books, authors, suggestions etc, just an idea.

It would certainly make sense, Fiz, but some members have already made the Library, which kind of falls under "Other Authors." But I think that your idea would be a better name for that forum, so we wouldn't have to stick to discussing to specific genres in one forum, and crowding Gen Discussion with every other genre.

See though, I have an issue with the Library, while it is nice place to discuss those topics, you're limited to them, a better thing to do would be to add an extra forum listing under Library maybe that is listed as "OTHER AUTHORS" that way if you want to post about King you can, about Rowling you can, and if you want to post about Other Authors, it'd at least be in the right place... your thoughts?

I think, since most of us here are fantasy and sci-fi fans, a fantasy and sci-fi forum is necessary. A forum for other literature would possibly be a good thing as well, though - how about we stick an 'other literature' into the Library?

That is pretty mcuh what I'm wanting. At some of the other forums I post at we have such titles for specific forums "Other Lit" and it works very well. Its a good place to go for reccomendations and good titles, cheers.

What? I moderate that forum, and I have to go here to find out there's a movement (admiddedly of only 2) to rename it? Hmmmph. Not happy, I am. Very not indeed. (Insert angry emoticon here) I don't think the suggested title would work, for the reasons already mentioned. If you want to talk about an author in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, then do so! If it's a popular thread, it'll stay at the yop.

I totally agree with dAN! (had it occured to you to discuss this with the moderator first?) Keep Sci-Fi/Fantasy intact just where it is and create an Other Authors forum in the Library-and put all
non Sci-Fi/Fantasy authors there! Protocal people! Protocal! (and Darth stop always overeacting!

I think all suggestions are good as they make us think (Thanks Fiz) but I'm really trying to avoid creating more forums. This beast is big enough

But Vain, what about my plans for a "Darth Appreication" forum?
I mean can I still have it... it's not as if it's going to be long...
or anyones going to post in it...
