Everyone loves a nice riddle, here's one to start us off:
I have rivers but no water,
I have cities but no houses,
I have deserts but no sand,
I have roads but no cars.
What am I?
Winner gets to ask the next one.

I am at the heart of every man;
That is what links men to the beasts.
To ignore me, flesh is reduced,
To embrace me makes men robust.
If I am appeased too often, it is no virtue.
Any gift will please me,
But angry will men be if given stone, wood or air.

[An easy one...]
You make me, you can break me,
you give me, but can't take me.
I don't know you when I see you,
but I promise to return every smile.
Who am I?

have it stop,
and completely reverse direction,
after traveling a short distance?

I'm long overdue for posting a riddle, seems it was my turn a year ago, and I dropped the ball...
My riddle:
It goes up, but at the same time goes down. Up toward the sky, and down toward the ground. It's present tense and past tense too, come for a ride, just me and you.
