The Elohimfest Interview-and odds and ends

Ok, first of all don't get too excited right away (especially you Furls :D ). In fact I need everyone's help. You may have heard some of this before so bear with me.

Pete, who graciously filmed the interview, had some serious personal problems and couldn't get the clips to Phorist until last week. Phorist is cropping the clips, uploading them to the Webmaster at The Official SRD site and mailing him a DVD as we speak. It is a long interview and some parts may need to be further edited. MPG3 formats are being entertained and it's presentation on, or download from, the Official site is in the works. But your suggestions are welcome! Also: There are some small problems with the audio-if anyone knows of reliable enhancement software or devices we can use to improve certian parts we'd definately appreciate it.

Phorist and the Webmaster are working hard on this, but, as you can imagine, fixing the parts with poor sound still takes alot of editing. When all is completed we then need to send Mr. Donaldson a copy of the DVD for his approval.

Attention all Elohimfesters! Once the production is final we will work to send you your personal DVD of the interview. PM me for details and leave me your home address. Anyone else who wants a DVD needs to wait for more details-it may, in the future, be nessesary for you to contact the Webmaster and pay for the DVD and your postage-if, in fact, this becomes reality.

We are striving to get all of this completed by mid-September at the very latest.

odds and ends
I'm getting my Elohimfest photos turned into CD today and may be able to upload them to The Album by this weekend.

Vain and CovJr I mailed your signed copies off last Friday-you should recieve them in about a week.

I've got dAN's copy of Gilden-fire ready to be signed by SRD at Bubonicon (The NM Sci-Fi/Fantasy Convention) on August the 23rd. If anyone else is interested in sending me a book to be signed--I will take the first two who PM me-but you need to PM me by this Saturday!

I'd happily pay for my own copy of the interview DVD, too.

As for enhancing audio...oh, man. I spent many years as a radio journalist, and I can tell you from personal experience that there's only so much you can do with a graphic equalizer on a piece of sound that was recorded off-mic at a low level. Especially when the air conditioning kicks in and drowns out the person speaking. We may just have to resort to reading lips in some spots (and you should thank the gods that you've got a videotape instead of just an audio cassette!). ;)

When did you insult him?

He rolled his eyes after my question, which I think he's been probably been asked 1000 times. :)

Birdy, your question led to him telling us exactly why he used rape as an event in both TCTC and the Gap. Nothing to blush about. :)

Damelon, your question might have made him roll his eyes, but it led to him telling us about how important Linden and The One Tree are to him personally. Not to mention the great stuff about the Tor from Mordant. :)

No worry about insults, BNB!

The interview should be kept as intact as possible. There is so much that I have forgotten already that others have posted and I say to myself "Oh yeah!" I cannot wait to dissect the video!!!
