I have hit a dry spell in regards to writing stories  but I did manage to write something for a poetry contest, which I posted below :)

WEREWOLF’S KISS

By Dani Myrick

~

Night does not hide the scars

nor dull the searing pain

of life and laughter lost

never to be found again

Vigilant, she sits and waits

for furtive movement in the trees

something stirs within darkness

and she crouches to her knees

He slinks forward and whines

a creature of men no more

ruled instead by the full moon

subject only to the were-lore

Her tears fall gently down

mourning her lover’s form

torn between love and revulsion

wanting so much to scorn

Instead, she bares her soft throat

a delicacy he cannot resist

they join one last time in fervor

for a werewolf’s final kiss

WOW :!: I certainly didn't expect such a response! I consider poetry to be my weakest writing skill :D
