What do you guys think about a membership rewards program? (We're not talking flights on the Concorde here )

There's so much

We can have playful rewards like a "shop" type concept where x posts gets you x Land dollars (or whatever) to buy Land stuff (I dunno - top of my head here) So you have a bank and a shop and...

Then we can have tangible benfits like site hosting. Have your own domain name? Want to have it hosted free? With free message board and other gadgets?

Customised titles....it doesn't need to be linked to post totals. We can vote for member of the month - that kind of thing.

OK. If you look to the left you will notice there's a Points and a Donate thing.

The points I'll rename to White Gold Dollars or something

At the top there's a link called Bank (no image yet). Click on it to deposit your points into the bank and start earning interest so you can afford all those cool Land things I'm going to be setting up in the shop

Hm, sounds interesting, Vain. I guess anything that sparks member-interest is cool. I'm curious what you have in mind for some of these ideas, like what you will be selling in the store. Sounds interesting, though. Let me know if you need any help/ideas from me. Although I'm still a little confused about what exactly you plan to do.-jay

The list most likely needs refining though and we can do with small smiley sized images for each Then we need to associate a cost for each. The act of posting increases the white gold dollars you have and that enables you to acquire variuos things. However, we don't just want mindless posting for the sake of acquisition hence the bank to deposit your hard earned cash to earn interest. There's still a bunch of issues to work on like interest rate (what should it be) etc etc Whew !! Now I'm exhausted

Figured I should add I'm at a business conference for the next few days and wwwless (now there's a new word) so I'll have to catch up upon my return.

Er ... hope I'm not the only one doesn't truly get it ...

We get points based on how often we post, but don't keep them for ourselves but donate them to others? Or do we put them in the bank? Or ...?
