That statement about forcing Keven + Berek to fight using the Power Of Command intrigued me. Who would win if you had a tournament between all the Dramatis Personae (and legends) of The Land?

Celebrity Deathmatch style.

If I get bored I might try writing one out - anyone care to make a quick summary of who should be included? (16 or 32 character maximum) And why they would win?

a rather pointless excercise, I think; to me one of the many things the Chronicles teach me is that power is power, nothing more, and it depends of its wielder, and even those who seem to be the strongest can be defeated

This becomes one of those immoveable objects vs irrestable force questions.

I would perfer Berek to win; he was lord fatherer and did not decide that his failure was the lands failure.

I'm going with <I>ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol</I>. I think that, as the ultimate <I>Haruchai</I>, he would have known: not to take the Bloodguard Vow, because it couldn't work with their no-weapons/power lives; or how to reconcile their philosophy with the choices they would have to make while serving the Lords, so that the Vow wouldn't have had to be abandoned. His Vows are, I'm sure, eternal. And the Earthpower, which obviously holds the <I>Haruchai</I> in such high regard, must hold <I>ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol</I> in even higher regard. So high that it will not harm him. I'm betting that he could have stood unharmed, hardly noticing, through the worst of the Ritual of Desecration. So the Lords and Elohim would have had nothing to throw at him. I'll bet he could even fight a sandgorgon. If he has even more endurance than your run-of-the-mill <I>Haruchai</I>, it would be a glorious battle!

[OK, I imagine that any of you who have NOT thought my theories of the <I>Haruchai</I> went too far in the past probably do now. Tough luck!:D]

Yes the Haruchai would definitly be a force to be feared.
ALso i think the creator would win hands down =)

i think it would be cool to see vain and findail duke it out. we know vain is very percistant and findail is powerful. i can just imagine vain ripping off a couple of findails limbs off then findail forms into something huge and starts pounding him into the ground. the fight would probibly go on for a long time. then you could throw mhoram in there when one of them is wasted, he would probibly waste vain but im not sure about findail, he might be a little bit of a treat

Say rather that his being is eternal. Being beyond all partial allegiances--and beyond the reach of temptations--he doesn't need any Vow either to bind him to individuals/groups served or to reinforce his own resolve. His integrity is complete as it stands.
