What music puts you in the mood

You've lit the incense and the candles, maybe draped some cloth over the lampshade. What's playing on the stereo?
I say you can't go wrong with Enigma.

It's funny, I can play something like Zeppelin at full boom and lay on a couch and go straight to sleep. When I wake up my ears feel goofy, though... But anyway, I guess "Sheep" by Pink Floyd might put me away or maybe the whole "Wish You Were Here" album. Oh, and ECHOES.

I think I was a little too obscure. Uh... I wasn't talking about sleeping... at least, not in the solo sense of the word.

Oh! But if u're talking about lovemaking Zep is where it's at: Heartbreaker followed by Livin' Lovin' Maid--oh Squeeze My Lemon baby!

(p.s. the Lady Tamara-Ten-Astoreth goes wild during
Dreaming and the soundtrack from
Wild Orchid!)

With a 3 year old and a 7 year old running around.......it pretty much doesn't matter what's playing (need crying smiley <-- is that an oxymoron?)

Well, the closest I get to any mood when listening to music is a sleepy one.

Otherwise, I just plain listen to it. Helps me think about whatever I'm going to write in the near future. And yes, Led Zeppelin II is where it's at, heh heh...

*nudge nudge*

ha, Vain. now that I'm a father it all makes sense now why my mother always insisted on an 8 pm bedtime. and i'd say crying smiley is definately an oxymoron...

My husband is turning 46 this month. Things still occasionally function.

That's a good time for some soft jazz.

Sarah McLachlin: the album "Solace" with "Drawn to the Rhythm", "Into the Fire", "Back Door Man", etc. You have to skip "Black" though it is a real mood killer.
For the slow tender times: "Adagio" from the Gayne Ballet Suite (you'll remember it as the background music in 2001 when Dave is jogging around the ship), and "Ase's Death" from Peer Gynt - which then leads to "In the Hall of the Mountian King" - only those who are strong "like bull" are worthy to make love to THAT.
"You 'Dwealt in darkness without me' and it WENT AWAY?!?"

I've just thought of another good one. Queer by Garbage has to be one of the sexiest songs ever.

Depends on the night and the mood. As you know there are many different moods within "The Mood", different flavours, many shades and colors. Do we want a little Nine in Nails to spice things up or is it a Tangerine Dream sort of night. Thinking back, I have very fond memories of Fleetwood Mac's Tango in the Night (what an appropriate title!). Listen to Big Love and let me know.
