 Yay for whiney vampires whose names you can't pronounce until you hear it in the movie. (Louis) Yay for the redheads. (Armand) But no yay for the naughty vampires who don't like Santino. (Uh, give ya a hint, he's old and blonde. And a Roman.)

Oh, uh, and, yay the Taltos! and the psudonyms.

But yes, yay Anne Rice.

Anne Rice's vampire books were good up until the 3rd one.

Agreed, and even the fourth and fith weren't too bad. But after that, it just became more of the same. Almost written to a formula it seemed.

Enjoyed some of her other work as well though.

Yeah, I stopped at Body Thief. Vampire Lestat remains my favourite of the series, though.

I agree. Was a shock to find out he'd basically been lying to Louis all the time. :)

I've only read up to Body Thief as well. I found that one a bit lacklustre, so I didn't go any further. I've been tempted by The Vampire Armand and Pandora though; those are two of my favourite characters. That reminds me - Lestat started to get on my nerves after The Vampire Lestat; he just became too cocky. As for my favourite, I'm torn between the first two. I don't think I've come across such a remarkable account of becoming a vampire as Interview - the way Louis was lost, and had no idea what vampires could and couldn't do, what could harm him, whether there were others... It seemed the most real. But Lestat was longer and more accomplished. So I'm torn.

Anne Rice? Not bad -if you like reading the same damn cliched vampire story over and over and over again.

No 'yay' ... and very strong NAY!

Yay, you silly tin-demon. Bah, you're prolly plastic anyway.

Lestat grates on my nerves a bit, but he's funny... eventually. The sock bit in Blackwood Farm was quite, interesting.

Also, I know nothing of the French. I can barely order a taco at Taco-Bell. (Although, it isn't really Taco-Bell, it's called Amigo's, but oh well.)
<ridiculous idiotic American, socially inept

I guess I just like the monologues. (<looks odd) I don't know why the rest of you don't like all the Anne Rice stuff. Next you'll be telling me that you don't know who Robert Weinburg is....
