If you click on the link there are possible spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!
On thing that I think is very interesting is that it says that Tor rushed the last 3-4 books into print relatively shortly after Jordan finished writing them. For this book, Jordan is insisting on a complete editing job, which will take about 6 months rather than 6 weeks! I wonder if all of the fan complaints about the later books in the series might have led to this decision?
Given book 10, I think the decision is quite probably a wise one.

It'd be hard for book 11
not to be an improvement...he could write it in blank verse and it'd be on the same level.

Rumor has it will end at 12.
Yeah, it would be really hard to make Book 11 any worse than Book 10. But if anyone can do it, Jordan can.-jay

Uh-oh . . . I'm channelling 'Aladdin' here:
Jordan, Jordan, he's our man!
If he can't do it . . . .
GREAT ! ! ! !
Seriously, it's rather sad to see how many of Jordan's fans have lost confidence in his ability to finish the story. It's even sadder to reflect that he probably deserves it.

I'm hoping that it's going to be an improvement, but as was said, that shouldn't be too difficult. Whether he can wrap up all the loose ends in just two more books though, is an entirely different question.

Tor Books, the US publisher for Robert Jordan's novels, has announced that KNIFE OF DREAMS will be released on October 11, 2005.
Technically that date is subject to change, but it's pretty likely that October 11th is the date we'll all be reading the next WoT novel.
Tor has plans to send Robert Jordan on a national US tour, starting on that day. The list of cities and stores he's visiting has not been announced. When Tor releases them, we'll publish them here.
As of this news article, Robert Jordan is finishing up the novel. He plans to finish it in the very near future and then work with his editor for several months to make it as tight as possible.
From Dragonmount, of course.
