Hail and howdy. There are those who call me...Jason. I'm 35, married with a 10 month old croyal, and live on the beach in San Diego, SoCal's version of Seareach (without all the large, forehead-less corpses). I work as an HR specialist for a large defense contractor. I first read Covenant back in junior high, and have read the series several times since. SRD changed my life, for had I not read him, I never would have used the word "bifurcated". I believe that it's wrong to compare SRD and Tolkien, as they have two entirely different and equally compelling stories to tell. I believe that joy is in the ears that hear, unless you're listening to Ashlee Simpson. In my spare time, I surf, rock climb, watch and occasionally muster up the courage to play rugby, and write (shameless plug for my blog: www.petcobra.blogspot.com). If asked, people who know me will generally tell you that I'm a good-natured wiseass who shows the occasional glimpse of thoughtfulness, and people who don't will generally respond with a blank stare. It's good to chat with well-read folks; since my college days I've met only one person who's read the Chronicles (in a bitter twist, I fell madly in love with her and she dumped me to go back to the boyfriend she failed to tell me she had in the first place - but that was years ago, and don't be sad, I've since married a wonderful girl whose only fault seems to be that she hasn't read any SRD).
