Hi, this is BT Shire. Most people call me Jason. Sometimes when I look at the world I feel like :x but usually I'm just like  . However, all of Stephen R. Donaldson's works make me :D . I'm 35. I live in Delaware and play in a band called HyJinx, www.get-jinxed.com. My day job is at a bank and unfortunately I'm there now. I also am a bit of a writer (see my sig).

Like many, I found the Covenant books when I was in my teens. If you were into fantasy back then, there weren't many options. I guess you had Tolkien, Donaldson, and that Shannara guy (whom I never read). But even back then, I was BLOWN AWAY by the complete awesomeness of the the Chronicles. I've read the books twice since then, one in my mid-twenties and once recently to prepare for the Last Chronicles. I've also read Mordant's Need, Daughter of Regals & Other Tales, the Gap cycle, and The Man Who Fought Alone. I'm looking forward to reading his other mystery novels (which I never even knew about until recently).

And I just finished The Runes of the Earth! AWESOME! Long live Donaldson!!

Hiya BT!

I wonder what the age range of "Kevin's Watch" is. I'm 36. Funny that when the first books were written there really was no internet. Now look at us!

Thanks for the welcome, guys! I'm sure I'll be around a lot now that there is new Covenant material to discuss.

Interesting comment about the internet, Steve Hurtloam. It's amazing how much we depend on it these days. I wonder how we ever got along without it!

Rock on.

Welcome BT! Be welcome and true! I first read LFB in '77, I got it as a birthday present as I was turning 20-so that gives you some idea of how ancient I am. The oldest age I've seen on the Watch is something like 58 and the youngest, I believe, is 12... 8)
