Ah, I read the full New Scientist article on that way back when it came out. Interesting stuff, but some people weren't convinced by the result, I don't think. On the subject of Einstein and gravity, there's a good article on black holes on New Scientist at the minute - it details a few of the more recent theories on how black holes might work:
