As best that I can remember, I've only walked out of 2 movies:

1) "Runaway Train" with Jon Voight and Eric Roberts

2) "The Fisher King" with Robin Williams

Both of these movies were so bad that I couldn't not, in good conscience, waste another moment of my life watching them.

What movies have you walked out of?

One of the Batman ones, the one with "Mr Freeze", and another one that I can't even remember, it was so mediocre. If it comes to mind, I'll be back to post it.

Godzilla! And the Batman one was "Batman and Robin". Dam...I mean Darn near killed the franchise. I can not possibly agree more on that one!

I've never walked out on a movie, had I not been falling asleep, I would have walked out on Flesh and Bone.

I've never walked out on a movie (I usually only find time to go see a couple a year, so don't get much opportunity. )

However, I found Monster's Ball so disturbing, I rewound my rental tape about a third of the way in and returned it.

Would that count?

I don't think I've ever walked out on a movie. Maybe I just blocked it out of my mind.

I came very close to walking out on this one. I think I stuck around out of masochistic pride. Just thinking about this film gives me a headache.

Magnolia was another excruciating experience. I should have walked out, but I sat through it all just so I could see how much more bombastic the movie could get.

Mouse Hunt--> Stupidest movie I ever saw.

American Beauty--> Offensive on so many levels that I can't even begin to discuss them.

Almost Walked out on "Forgotten"

My wife and I were having too much fun making fun of Forgotten to walk out. Soooooo stupid. I also thought Event Horizon was terrible. I mean, when a black hole leads you to the "DIMENSION OF EVILLLLLLL" then you know is gotta' be bad!

Holy Crow, I'd forgotten about "Event Horizon". Yeah, that was terrible. You can also add another Sam Neill stinker, "In the Mouth of Madness".

My friends walked out of a movie because the preview for Garfield disgusted them so much.

I've never walked out of a movie, although I have had the pleasure of making fun of a few truly horrific movies in the theater:

Camp Nowhere

Frankenstein (the remake with Robert De Niro)

Batman and Robin

I've never walked out of one in a cinema, so I suppose the closest I've come is sitting down with the sole intention of watching a particular film, then getting so bored I go to another room or something. In which case: Citizen Kane and The Perfect Storm.

I've never walked out on a film, but then again I don't think I've been to the cinema more than 20 times in my life. There was one time that 'Crash' was on TV, I tried to watch it, but ended up turning over halfway through.

Wow. I won't argue with you, but I was surprised to read this. I thought it was a beautiful film, and it is one of a very few favourites of mine...

Urbanite, you've, apparently, missed the whole point of Event Horizon and Cail how you can say that In the Mouth of Madness was bad is way beyond me. BTW I loved American Beauty so to y'all.

American Beauty: Started with a middle-aged guy ...uh... doing something disgusting in a shower by himself, moved on to him lusting for a very young teenager, and went down hill from there.

Ack.

I couldn't get past his yukky interest in that little girl. So, I walked.

Yeah, men lusting after women. Inconceivable! And pleasuring themselves? Holy cow!

Personally, I felt the film had a lot of wit and insight, as well as exceptional performances. Also, Mena Suvari was 20 when that film came out; she didn't look all that young to me; then again, I was 14 when it came out!

Heh heh heh....I have no problem with men lusting after WOMEN. In fact, I encourage THAT....men lusting for little girls, however, disgusts me. The girl looked about 15 to me....

And as far as pleasuring themselves--too much information. Do what you want--but do it privately...not on the movie screen.

Point taken. Whilst it didn't offend me, I guess Kevin Spacey pleasuring himself on a 50 foot screen isn't everyone's idea of a good time. Wow, that's the weirdest sentence I ever wrote.

Thankfully I missed the "50 ft screen" experience, so on the whole I thought American Beauty was pretty interesting. Disturbing, too, but worth a watch.

I haven't walked out of any movies at the theatre. (I figure if I'm gonna pay the $6-9, I might as well suffer through it, cackling madly or groaning when it gets really bad.)

Oh, wait, there was that one time in middle school... it was To Fly at the National Air and Space Museum. It was a really cool movie, really, especially in IMAX. The walking out part was a failed attempt by my friend and I to ditch the movie and wander around the museum some more (really, if they dragged me down there, they could at least have let me enjoy more than a quarter of the museum - I wanted to see airplanes and rockets, not a movie). Well, I got out, but my pretense was flawed, so a teacher accompanied me to the bathroom and my friend hied it back to the theatre. Dang it, if she'd just stuck around for a minute, it would have been all good.

Apparently I would not have made a good Slytherin at that age.
