Kevin's Watch

Dark clouds slowly kill the light,
a cold wind blows into the night,
As she rides across the sky
A black mist seeps into the ground,
a dense fog rolls without a sound,
Silence echoes her dark cry
Seeking those who hear her call,
those who want to leave it all,
Behind to join her on her flight
There they will know her peace,
find the solace that they seek,
The cost is her eternal plight

Souls of the lost know her pain,
Tears of the damned hers to shed,
Alone, again

Sorrow's washed onto dark shores,
as the sea of tears she wept still roars,
A silent song forever sung
Never will she be as free,
as those who call her seem to be,
Forever guiding those who come

Alone, the lost souls cry in vain,
Yet bearing the burden that is given to her,
Alone, she bears the pain

As summer's blazing hear can kill,
winter's howling fury chills,
Burying under white which once was green
As season, this will end,
but not to end, to begin again,
Forever she will be unseen
