Is there a difference?

Between the adult version and the kids version of the Harry Potter stories?If there is; I've been buying the wrong ones....

No difference as far as I know, except for the cover art. It was provided in two versions for the adults who felt ashamed of being seen to read "kids" books.

Bloody intellectual snobbery if you ask me. There are plenty of "childrens" books that I read with great pleasure to this very day. And plenty of books classified as "children's" that would be perfectly at home in the adult section.

Can't judge a book by its cover and all that.

No... it's just someone told me that the adult books were written differently in some ways. :? So I thought I might have missed something. That's all. I'm glad they were lying, otherwise I'd have had to read it all over again. :P

Haha, I wasn't accusing you of intellectual snobbery dude.

I'm pretty sure there is no difference. I've read a mixture of "versions" depending on what I could get hold of at the time, and I'm sure i've re-read some in the other version, and never noticed a difference. :)
