Images in sigs?

Can we put an image in our signatures? If we can, what's the code?

I don't know
I'm sure it should be possible but there would be some problems with it that would need to be managed. We would need to specifiy maximum file size ito dimensions and bytes - and preferably store them on this server so that we don't have download problems to contend with. That's easy enough as I can establish an additional gallery thing for it....now where's that FAQ when you need it

Amen! The only thing I dislike more than needing several minutes to scroll through a page thanks to giant sigs are sigs which are ten times as large as the actual message text.
Since this board doesn't allow to disable the showing of avatars and sigs, a limit would also be in the interest of those with slow connections.

Cross-linking is the first step on the path to the Dark Side, my young padawan.

I have a dialup connection (3rd world country) so agreed

We'll work on this. Confusion leads to anger. Anger leads to hatred. Hatred leads to suffering. Suffering leads to war. War leads to another sequel. Another sequel leads to more merchandising.

You're heading in the wrong direction, my young padawan... Where to start? Maybe we should bleach that avatar or yours as a first step away from the Dark Side.

I read a Zen thing. Something about duct tape having a dark side and a light side and holding the universe together.
I have an urge to extract the eyes from your avatar and use them on mine

creepy.
"The force is like duct tape: there's a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together."
Lucas has said that he modeled the force off of zen. There are some other Eastern references in Star Wars, but the only other one I remember is the shape of Darth Vader's helmet is modeled after that of a samurai.
And some even more useless info, me and George have the same b-day (May 14th), something a roommate of mine (he had a star wars shrine) was acutely jealous of.

Rather than start a whole new thread for a simple enquiry, I'll just use this thread as my question is regarding sigs.
How does one get their sig to show up in coloured font? And does it cost?

Yep. Images in sigs are obviously possible - but as you can see, prolly very annoying
Colours in sigs are also possible
RED
is done by:
RED[ /color]
but without the spaces
The first person to generate blinking and/or scrolling and/or rainbow coloured sigs will end up sigless

Right back at you Danlo.

It seems a little knowledge can be a
dangerous and
colourful thing.

Considering that by far the majority of people choose to take advantage of the signature feature, I suspect you may be part of a small minority.
However, you've certainly made your feelings on the matter clear.
It is however the choice of the Administrators, and they will of course give your suggestion all due consideration. Whatever the outcome, I hope and trust that you will be able to look beyond the signatures, and appreciate the posts themselves, which are no less relevant or excellent for their inclusion.
(Of course, you could always make your own signature a protest against signatures.
